Course Description

This course provides an in-depth introduction to knowledge translation (KT) for practitioners looking to bridge the gap between research and real-world application. Participants will develop core competencies to effectively implement evidence-based practices within healthcare. The course introduces KT frameworks, pre-implementation strategies, and practical skills such as team building, data-driven decision-making, and stakeholder engagement. Participants will learn how to navigate power dynamics, foster collaboration, and develop actionable plans for sustainable implementation.

Designed for professionals new to KT or those seeking to enhance their skills, this course combines self-paced learning with interactive synchronous facilitation sessions to reinforce applied learning. By the end of the course, participants will be able to identify key barriers and facilitators in implementation, engage teams effectively, and translate evidence into actionable steps. This course provides essential knowledge for practitioners at the forefront of evidence-based decision-making and serves as a foundation for advanced KT training.
