About the Community of Practice

The Walk the Walk: Community of Practice provides an opportunity for clinicians to learn about new research, strategies to overcome common implementation problems, and continue to refine their skills related to high-intensity gait training. Clinicians who participate in the Community of Practice have been trained, or are currently undergoing training, in high-intensity gait training.

This training program includes 10, 1-hour online webinars that occur over a one-year period. The synchronous sessions include didactic content and time for discussion, and the meetings will be recorded and made accessible for participants to view later. Participants who are unable to attend the live session can view the recording of the webinar to receive credit. In addition, participants will also receive access to a library of tools and resources, as well as over 100 written questions with text-based answers about high-intensity gait training.

Every Walk the Walk online course comes with a complimentary 1-year CoP membership. After that, the CoP membership can be renewed annually.

Registration, Pricing, and CEUs

The Community of Practice is available as a subscription that renews annually. Registration is available on knowledgetranslation.org for $149 per person for a one-year membership.

Participants are encouraged to take the Walk the Walk course, if they haven't already. When registering for Walk the Walk, a one-year complimentary membership to the CoP is provided.

After completion of the one-year members, participants must sign-up for the CoP to continue participating.

The CoP webinars have been approved by the Indiana Physical Therapy Association (#006987887C2071) for 10 CEUs. Participants receive certificates after attending each online meeting or viewing the recording from a meeting. However, participants are expected to complete all 10 hours of webinars. Participants are responsible for transferring CEUs for approval in other states.

Cancellations must be requested in writing in the first 14 days of membership. Refunds will be provided; however, a 15% administrative fee may be retained. The membership is renewed annually and can be cancelled any time before renewal. The Institute for Knowledge Translation (iKT) reserves the right to change programs or cancel for due cause. If the iKT cancels the implementation program, a full refund will be provided.
