Objective
- Identify impairments in biomechanical subcomponents of gait in persons with stroke who have mild, moderate, and severe walking impairments
- Create a treatment plan to target deficits in biomechanical subcomponents in persons with stroke who have mild, moderate, and severe walking impairments
- Describe treatment strategies to maximize the time patients spend in the target heart rate zone while targeting impairments in biomechanical subcomponents
- Explain how to safely monitor a patient’s vitals during a high-intensity gait training session
- Describe how to modify a treatment plan based on a patient’s response to treatment

The intended audience for this course includes physical therapists and physical therapist assistants. Registration is available on knowledgetranslation.org for $695 per person include continental breakfast and box lunches. The fees cover the in person course, 1-year membership to the community of practice, and several tools and resources to help clinicians implement high-intensity gait training in clinical practice.
